What Is Almost Not Here?
Almost Not Here is a dark ambient music project created and composed by Wartonno Sound.
The project began with a recurring emotional idea: what does it feel like when you are physically present, but the world around you no longer feels completely real?
Each track explores a different part of that feeling.
Some pieces focus on derealization. Others explore isolation, emotional withdrawal, distance from the outside world and the desire not to be reached.
The music uses slow-moving ambient textures, distant tones, degraded signals and liminal spaces to create the feeling of watching life from somewhere slightly outside yourself.
Beneath the darkness, however, there is always a small suggestion that something remains.
